This service, provided by the national post office (Iposita), allows individuals and businesses in Rwanda to easily obtain a secure and convenient ePoBox address. Users with a valid Rwandan phone number can quickly register for a digital postal address. This article acts as a brief guide for Agents when applying for the service on the user’s behalf.
The processing time is 1 working day and The pricing depends on the type of application: 8,000 RWF for individual applicants and 15,000 RWF for applications submitted on behalf of a company.
Note: Unlike the previous Irembo platform, agents now have a separate portal. Ensure you are signing in to the designated portal for agents.
Prerequisites:
Companies must have valid TINs.
Applicants must have a valid phone number.
Follow these easy steps to help a user register for an ePoBox Address.
Visit the Agent portal and log in with your credentials.
Under the category “Postal Services” click “Register an ePoBox”
Read the service description carefully and click “Apply now” to start an application.
Enter the user’s phone number and select the Applicant Category (Individual or Company). The price will automatically reflect below.
Applying on behalf of an Individual: Add their identification number, name, and date of birth
Applying on behalf of a Company: Enter the company tin and the details including name, email, and phone number will be automatically displayed.
Select the user’s preferred Postal Branch then click “Continue”.
Review and confirm the user’s information. The user will receive notifications about the progress of their application on their phone number.
Click the checkbox to confirm the accuracy of the provided information.
A bill ID will be provided so the user can make the payment. Click “Pay and Submit”.
Note:
After successful payment, the user will be notified within a few minutes after the ePoBox has been registered, and they can proceed to use it and download their certificate. For any queries concerning ePoBox contact the Iposita office on 0791956191.
